50K
Middle Fork Trail Run 2026
Organized by Northwest Trail Runs
About This Distance
The Middle Fork 50K is a long, scenic river-valley ultra that combines classic Middle Fork singletrack with segments of the CCC trail network and short forest-road connectors. The course is runnable in many places, but it’s still a true PNW endurance day — long miles in the woods with constant scenery and a few key junctions to manage.
Course notes from NWTR: the 50K route crosses Burnt Boot Creek, which typically can be waded; organizers often build at least a minimal log bridge for those comfortable with a dry-foot crossing.
Course Details
From the Middle Fork Trailhead, the 50K uses the CCC connector and CCC Trail before joining the Middle Fork Trail, continuing to Dingford Creek and then toward the bridge near Goldmyer before returning to the finish.
Official race-day details list five aid stations at 2.3, 8.2, 13.6, 19.8, and 25.2 miles, plus a 12:30 PM cutoff to reach Aid Station C, a 2:30 PM cutoff at the second pass through Aid Station C, and a 6:00 PM course close.
The course crosses Burnt Boot Creek. Northwest Trail Runs notes that the creek is usually wadable and that organizers generally try to build at least a minimal log crossing.
