•Hyak Trailhead — Palouse to Cascades Trail
Join Tierra Libre Run as a volunteer at the Hyak Halloween 25K! Help host an aid station, cheer on runners, and be part of a welcoming, community-centered day on Snoqualmie Pass.
Tierra Libre Run, a BIPOC-led nonprofit trail running community, is co-directing this year’s Hyak Halloween 25K with Rainshadow Running. As part of the event, Tierra Libre will host a BIPOC-led aid station—a welcoming, community-centered space on course.
Volunteer roles include:
- Aid Station Crew – Hand out water, fuel, and snacks; track runner numbers; offer encouragement and care.
- Set-Up / Tear-Down – Help load/unload supplies and keep the aid station running smoothly.
- Course Support – Cheer runners as they pass through, keep spirits high, and embody Tierra Libre’s welcoming community.
- Hospitality / Belonging Role – Help create a warm, inclusive vibe at the station (music, signs, costumes — culturally respectful, non-gory).
Perks:
- Free food and drinks throughout the day.
- Each hour of volunteering earns $25 in Rainshadow Running race credit.
- Being part of a joyful, inclusive, BIPOC-led presence at the race.
- Option to attend the Shakeout Run on Friday, October 24 at Discovery Park, connecting with other volunteers and First Strides runners. Learn more here.
